On Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 and Friday, May 3rd, 2024 SJB music will be putting on their annual Spring Concert. Continuing the great tradition of music at SJB, the night will feature performances from several school ensembles, including the powerhouse stage band SJB Soundwave, and SJB music's crown jewel, Brave Ambition, now in it's 8th year of existence.

“A Christian Pilgrimage is a journey to a significant place, made with the intention of encountering God in Christ. It encourages engagement with the surrounding landscape, offering space to reflect and pray.” To begin Catholic Education Week 2024 – “We are Called to Love” on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 students and staff of the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board will be participating in our eighteenth annual “Walk with Christ - Justice for the Poor” Pilgrimage, an event that will raise money to support development projects in Uganda, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.

Programmania is an annual computer competition meticulously organized by the Business and Computer Department Heads within the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board. Founded in 2000 by the secondary school Business Computer Department Heads, Programmania serves as a platform for students to showcase their prowess in computing skills by competing against teams from various schools.

Brebeuf coach Jae Dunphy’s first thought after winning the 2023-24 senior boys’ high school basketball championship was about getting a haircut. It’s one he says isn’t particularly necessary or wanted at this time.

Students in grades 11 and 12 from across the city whose studies are focused on healthcare, came to participate in simulation exercises at St Joseph’s Centre for Education, Simulation and Learning (CELS) during Learning Pillar Week. The students participate in the “Specialist High Skills Majoring in Healthcare” program, which is an approved educational program that allows them to gain credits toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

On Thursday, February 22nd, SJB Pride is hosting its annual Ally Pledge Day. Students and staff are invited to wear a pink shirt (with uniform bottoms) to represent our zero tolerance of bullying and exclusion at SJB.

OCSTA invites all CDSB students in grades 4-12 to create a 2-minute video highlighting how demonstrating care and respect for others gives witness to our faith. This year students were invited to create a 2-minute video demonstrating how the scriptural quote inspiring this year’s theme is reflected in how we treat and respect one another: “If we love one another, God lives in us” (1 John 4:12).

On Wednesday December 13th & Thursday December 14th, St Jean De Brébeuf will celebrate the 16th Annual Evening of Dance. Come out and enjoy performances by SJB's grades 9, 10 & 12 classes as well as SJB's elite dance crew SJBDC.

Each year, the St. Jean de Brébeuf C.S.S. community honours the students with the highest academic standing at our Honour Roll Awards Ceremony. This involves recognition of the Honour Roll’s top recipients by grade, and the Director’s Awards of Academic Excellence.

The Precious Moments Boutique, located inside the St. Mary Catholic Education Resource Centre, is a donation hub where students can select from an assortment of gently used graduation and First Communion wear, free of charge.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, Grade 9 students from Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic secondary schools will have the opportunity to spend the day job shadowing a parent/guardian, relative, or friend as part of Take Our Kids to Work™ (TOKW) day.

On Thursday, November 2, 2023, the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board is hosting Pathways Night, an annual event for all students in Grades 8-12+, and their parents. This year's event will take place in-person from 5:30pm - 8:00pm at LiUNA Station, 360 James Street North in Hamilton, Ontario.

BRAVES, this year's Terry Fox Run is happening soon. With the recent passing of Mr. Chiarot we are reminded of how important Terry's cause remains. SJB dedicates this year's run to Mr. Matthew Chairot.
