Mental Health - SJB

2025 - 2026 School Year

Welcome Back, Braves! Supporting Student Mental Health & Well-Being

As we begin a new school year at St. Jean de Brébeuf CSS, we recognize that returning to school can bring excitement, but also feelings of stress, uncertainty, and pressure. At SJB, we want every student to know they are supported—mind, body, and spirit.

Rooted in our Catholic faith, and guided by the words from Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous … for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you,” we are committed to helping students find hope, peace, and strength throughout the year

How We Support Our Students:

  • Caring Connections: Guidance, Child & Youth Workers, Teachers, and Administrators partner with our School Social Worker to provide safe and supportive pathways.

  • Mental Wellness Tools: Daily resources and strategies are shared to help students build resilience and coping skills.

  • Faith in Action: Prayer, reflection, and community support remind students that they are never alone in their struggles.

If You Notice Concerns:

Every child is created in the image of God and deserves to feel safe, respected, and cared for. If you notice changes in your child’s mental health, reach out to the school or consult Parent & Caregiver Resources

Together, let’s ensure that every student at SJB feels a true sense of belonging and the confidence to thrive this year.
