Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,
As we approach the end of Semester 1, we would like to share important information about the upcoming January 2025 Exam Period. Please take note of the exam dates, expectations, and available resources.
Exam Dates:
- Last day of classes: Wednesday, January 22, 2025 (half day for students)
- Period 1 Exam: Thursday, January 23, 2025
- Period 2 Exam: Friday, January 24, 2025
- Period 3 Exam: Monday, January 27, 2025
- Period 4 Exam: Tuesday, January 28, 2025
- Period 5 Exam: Wednesday, January 29, 2025
- PD Day (No School): Thursday, January 30, 2025
- Semester 2 Begins: Friday, January 31, 2025
Key Information:

Arrival Time:
Exams begin promptly at 8:20 a.m. Students should arrive early to ensure they are seated and ready to begin on time.

Dress Code:
Full St. Jean de Brébeuf Dress Code is required during the exam period.

Electronic Devices:
No electronic devices are allowed in the exam rooms, except for approved calculators when necessary.

Book Returns:
Students must return all textbooks and borrowed materials to their classroom teachers when they write their exams.

Inclement Weather Policy:
In case of school closure due to inclement weather, the exam schedule will be delayed by one day. Updates will be available through local media and the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) website.

Guidance Services:
The Guidance Office will be open during exam days from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Students can visit on a drop-in basis for any inquiries or to request timetable changes for Semester 2.

Student Success Room:
The Student Success Room (Room 223) will be available on Monday, January 27, and Tuesday, January 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Students needing extra support should register by Wednesday, January 22, at 12:00 p.m. by speaking with Mrs. Capretta or Mrs. Ricca.
