This incredible recognition is a testament to the leadership and commitment of Ms. Sarah Ross, Ms. Madeline Abel, and Mr. Martino Salciccioli, who have guided our Healthy Schools Team with passion and purpose.
This incredible achievement reflects the dedication of our teacher representatives, Public Health Nurse, and our amazing Health Action Team (HAT), who worked collaboratively to foster a culture of health and wellness within our school and the broader community.
Over the course of the year, the HAT team, supported by staff and community partners, organized a wide range of initiatives that focused on two key health areas: Mental Health and Substance Use Prevention.

We are especially grateful for the enthusiasm, creativity, and compassion of our HAT student volunteers. Guided by their faith and a spirit of service, they gave generously of their time and energy to promote positive change. Special thanks also to our Public Health Nurse, whose support and connection to community resources played a vital role in our success.
Achieving OPHEA’s Gold Certification is a shared accomplishment and a testament to our commitment to the health and wellbeing of every member of the SJB community.
