Join Us for Bell Let's Talk Day on January 22, 2025
“We have a Lord who is capable of crying with us, capable of walking with us in the most difficult moments of life” – Pope Francis.
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) continues to prioritize student and staff mental health and well-being through the promotion of Bell Let's Talk Day on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Bell Let’s Talk Day is a time to acknowledge those who are struggling with challenging emotions in response to personal and societal events. It also provides an opportunity for our youth to hear messages that validate their varied and unique experiences and to be shown caring support. The HWCDSB is committed to creating awareness of supportive measures, building resiliency, and encouraging access to appropriate, culturally responsive supports.
About Bell Let's Talk Day
Bell Let's Talk Day is an initiative by Bell Canada aimed at fostering open conversations about mental health. On this day, Bell donates five cents to Canadian mental health programs for every interaction made using the hashtag #BellLetsTalk on social media platforms.
Our School's Participation
In support of this important cause, we will be integrating mental health awareness activities into our classrooms. Teachers will have access to resources from the Everyday Mental Health Classroom Resource, which provides practical strategies to promote mental well-being among students.
