EUROPE

Attention, History Enthusiasts!

Do you have a passion for history? Are you eager to dive deeper into learning about the Holocaust? Have you always dreamed of traveling to Europe? This may be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!

The Bishop Ryan Explorers are running a once-in-a-lifetime 13-day trip to Europe in May 2025, for the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and Holocaust Studies! This is open to St. Jean de Brebeuf CSS students as well.  You’ll explore incredible World War II, Cold War, and Holocaust history, including highlights like:

  • Amsterdam for VE Day celebrations, walking shoulder-to-shoulder with Dutch veterans liberated by Canadians!
  • The Anne Frank House
  • Germany, where you’ll visit the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, and more
  • Poland, where you’ll witness the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising sites and spend a day learning at the Auschwitz concentration camp.
  • Prague, with sights like the Jewish Ghetto and Charles Bridge.

This unforgettable experience also coincides with VE Day celebrations in the Netherlands!

Want to learn more? Join us for an info meeting at Bishop Ryan on Wednesday, November 6th at 7:00 PM. RSVP by scanning the QR codes on your TVs, and if you’re ready to enroll, use the alternative QR codes.

Registration Deadline: December 20th.

Meet-and-greets for participants will begin in November. We can’t wait to see you there!
