After a three-year pause due to pandemic restrictions, the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board is once again holding its Precious Moments annual clothing drive for new and gently experienced formal wear, shoes and accessories.
The Precious Moments Boutique is a ‘storefront’ at St. Mary Catholic Resource Centre that is outfitted with new and gently used graduation/prom and First Holy Communion dresses and suits. The boutique was launched in 2004 by Social Worker Kelly Duffy-Kariam to ensure that no student has to miss out on his or her ‘precious moment.’
These events are marked with much excitement but can also pose a significant financial burden for many families in our community. All donated clothing is available to students at no cost. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and put to very good use.
Donations can be dropped off at reception of the Father Kennedy Catholic Education Centre at 90 Mulberry Street from 8am until 4 pm from December 12 to December 16, to the attention of Angelica Tarli or Nicole Baldini. Please ensure donations are clean, on hangers and current.
More drop off dates will be held in the new year if you are unable to drop off during this time.
For more information, please email Kelly Duffy-Kariam at firstname.lastname@example.org
Stay tuned for open house dates after the new year.
