Diocesan presentation: Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Experience of Indigenous Peoples

Event Date: Dec 12, 2022

The National Day of Prayer in Solidarity with Indigenous Peoples is celebrated on December 12 every year, on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Join the Diocese of Hamilton for a presentation from the Honourable Graydon Nicholas, Chancellor of Saint Thomas University, New Brunswick, and former Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick.

On the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the National Day of Prayer and Solidarity with Indigenous Persons, we will reflect together on the significance of the appearance of Our Lady to Juan Diego, an Indigenous man in Guadalupe, Mexico. Graydon Nicholas’ message will encourage our efforts as a community of faith toward reconciliation with our Indigenous brothers and sisters.

This presentation will be available for attendance in person or streamed live via the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King YouTube page.

When: Monday, December 12, 2022, 7-9pm
Where: Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King, 714 King St. W., Hamilton
